Comment on Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
Posted on July 1, 2008

hsamow, I am not denying that Christianity has helped in some few cases. As a whole however it has been a negative influence, not because of it's beliefs, but because of the crazy need to spred it to other cultures - something that persists even today. I would suggest you read accounts of early explorers who were forced by the Christian powers to take missionaries on their travels. The missionaries brought down many cultures, who otherwise were living in what we would consider a paradise. Far from seeing this, the missionaries (with help from armies) banned their customs and forced Christianity down their throats. 600 years later, those civilizations who made it are now victim to Alcoholism, poverty and disease. When compared to the few people sacrificed during the gladitorial games in Rome, Chritianity has caused a much larger and long-lasting effect on humanity. 10. Nobody is criticising you choice of Religion. Just don't try and force it on others. 4. Tell that to the rest of the Christians. 2. Do you believe that God doesn't answer prayers from other beliefs? Here in Australia there is a WW2 monument thanking God for the victory. There are also many of the same in Americ...

Umm this is about Fundamentalist Christians, the one about Muslims can probably be found via google. Also your list isn't funny. And you are possibly insane. I give you number 7.

Um Muslims invented Zero. That's right, THE Zero. Where would we be without zero? Then there was Astronomy, the Thermometer, Petrol!, Coffee, purification of water, soap, perfume, dams, street lamps, the caravel (look it up) -they were masters in botany, chemistry, maths, and Physics. Are you judging America by it's material wealth? Is that the sum of your country? Illegal immigrants come to your country because your unfair trade policies have insured that their countries have suffered financially. There were great kingdoms of the the Muslim world - untill someone had a bright idea to start the crusades - the crusaders leveled cities, killed women and children and destroyed cultures. Then of course came the missionaries, who together destroyed numerous civilizations - a common sight in the Islands around Australia for example is the complete breakdown of society because of the church, alcoholism and domestic abuse is rampant. The world wouldn't need financial aid if America stopped stealing from it. But I can see that you are one of the aforementioned fundamentalist Christians, so I will stop arguing with you, and instead urge you to introspect, and perhaps read some books.

"within their respective categories" is a fair assumption. You have a huge bias in your perception of the world - I'm not saying this because you may be Christian, many people in the West are under the perception that the best of everything comes from there. You have to realize that there are many cultures, many different forms of art out there. (There were a lot more but then along came the Christians!) hitory is not the present no, but a society generally follows it's traditions. WASP (White Anglosaxon protestants) rule the U.S and have done so since the beginning. Your current president, despite the separation between church/state continually flaunts his religious position by praying at state get togethers. Finally, here is a link for you: http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ppt_homepage I would say you are suffering from points 10), 4), and possibly 2).

@hsamow: Positive impact? Can you give some examples? By country do you mean America? America is the major source of today's problems, is this thanks to Christianity? The greatest pieces of Architecture? According to who? Your comments speak volumes about your ignorance and your religion.
